Future competitors of American Idol should take into consideration that the majority of voters are preadolescents, their parents, and their grandparents. It would probably be a good idea for those competitors to avoid makeovers and make-up that make them look ten years older, hooker clothing and suggestive clothing, and avoid being a young person trying to look vampy, prematurely "mature", sexy or a sex object, and derivative of the 20th-century, decadent, idea of how a star should look like.
It's all about the voters. And the persons who you think should be voting will NOT be voting. They'll be sitting back placidly and merely observing who will finally win.
